Things we are often asked about...
Here are the answers to the questions we get asked the most. If you have a question which is not listed here, please contact us for the answer.
What benefits do I get from being a member?
Members of Cruz 101 receive discounted entry to Cruz every night giving massive savings over the membership year, as well as receiving priority admission on busy nights and discounts to special events. Every time your card is swiped on the way into the club you collect points which we use to invite regular members as our guests to special events. Membership costs just £10 per year and runs for one year from the date your card is issued. Become a member.
Does Cruz have a dress code?
Not usually. Cruz events never have a dress code, although decency is expected. Sometimes promoted events held at Cruz 101 may have dress codes which will be specified in the event's advertising. Some special events, such as Halloween, also have discounted entry for people who join in & wear costumes or clothes that fit in with the theme - check out the adverts and flyers for full details.
Can anyone go to Cruz 101?
Cruz is not exclusively a members club but it does operate a members priority scheme and a majority gay policy. We welcome people of all sexualities and expect everyone to respect each other. This means that although guests are allowed, this is at the management's discretion. If you haven't been to the club before it is usually a good idea to let us know you are coming. New visitors may be subject to a small interview to ensure suitability and protect the safety and security of all our customers. We do not normally admit large groups so if you are planning a night out as a large group please contact us to see if we can accomodate you. We do not under any circumstances cater for hen nights. Cruz promotes responsible drinking and will assess every customer to ensure a suitable level of sobriety when admitting customers. Anyone who we deem to have already consumed too much alcohol will be refused admission. We also operate a Challenge 25 policy. If you are under 25 we will almost certainly require you to provide proof of age. Acceptable forms of proof are :
- Photo driving licence (Full or provisional)
ID card bearing a PASS logo & hologram. Visit the PASS site for more details.
How can I express my views or opinions about the club, its events and staff?

Yes. We accept payment by most major credit and debit cards. Visa, Visa Debit, MasterCard, Maestro, Switch, Solo and Electron. We also accept American Express cards. You may also get cash back of up to £50 using your debit card. You can use your card at reception or at either the bar on the left on the way into the club or the big bar by the toilets. There is a minimum purchase of £5 when using your card at the bar, and regardless of where you use your card in the club, there is an 80p charge.
What happens if I lose my cloakroom keyring?
To protect your belongings Cruz operates a secure cloakroom system requiring both your initials and a keyring. Both of these are required to retrieve an item from the cloakroom. If you loose your keyring you must wait until the end of the night to reclaim your property. There are no exceptions to this policy.
I left my things in the cloakroom / I lost something - How do I get it back?
All items not claimed from the cloakroom will be kept for seven days. After this time they will be donated to Oxfam. If you have left an item at the club please collect it on any night we are open within seven days or call the club to arrange a collection. A sweep is made of the club at the end of each evening. Any items found will be kept for seven days. For your security, any credit/debit cards found will be kept for 3 days and if not collected will be destroyed.
What time do you close?
We are always open from 11pm but we close at different times for different nights and events. Please check out the details for the night or event you are interested in for specific opening times.
What do I do if my membership has expired?
On your next visit, if your membership has expired, you will be given the opportunity to either renew it and gain admission at the members price or just pay the guest admission fee.
What do I do if I have lost my membership card?
Don't worry. Next time you're at the club just ask at reception for a new one.
If I was a member a few years ago will you still have my details?
Yes, we keep all membership details and it is easy for you to renew your membership at reception.
What happens if I want to leave the club and come back?
If you want to leave the club after you have come in, for example to go to a cash machine, for something to eat or have a cigarette, check your stamp that were given on admssion to the club before you leave. This is what you will need to show if you want to get free re-admission. If your stamp is faded you can get new stamp from a member of the guest services team in reception or from the reception counter which you must do before leaving as if you have no stamp you will be required to re-pay to re-enter the club. Having a stamp means you can come and go as you please all night. Remember when you come back to use the red-rope entrance to the right side of the entrance to take advantage of priority queue jump re-admission. Please remember each time you are re-admitted you will be assessed for sobriety. We are unable to re-admit anyone who we assess is overly intoxicated.
