Thirty-Four Years on Princess Street
Cruz 101 opened its doors on 22 May 1992, after a year spent turning a former shipping warehouse — built to serve Manchester's textile trade — into a nightclub. Clubs around it have come and gone. Cruz has outlasted all of them.
Two floors. The main club upstairs with two bars and a stage for PAs and drag. Sub 101 downstairs, one bar, where the house, tech and underground nights live. State-of-the-art sound and lighting on both.
In 2002 the club won a High Court case establishing the right to admit non-members — a ruling that changed door policy for nightclubs across the UK. That's the kind of place it is.
